God's Family Welcomes You

Updated: Jan 16, 2023

2022 is ending. We will see a new year in only a few weeks if God grants the time. At the end of the year, many families spend special time enjoying one another’s company and catching up on the year’s events. For them, it is a happy time, but for others, the end of the year brings sadness. Not every family is still whole on earth, and not every person can be with those they love. For those who are struggling, you do not have to remain alone. The church is here for you.

When the church gathers, we do so to make each other stronger (1 Cor. 14:26). If you are not a Christian, we will talk to you about obeying the gospel, and if you are willing, we will set time aside to open the Bible with you one-on-one (1 Cor. 15:3-5). We are not trying to annoy or belittle you when we do this. We are caring for your soul and doing our best to help you form a healthy relationship with God (1 John 2:1-2). We want you to become part of our spiritual family (1 Tim. 3:15). You are worth our time and attention.

In Luke 5:27-32, Jesus gave time and attention to people who were typically ignored and disliked by the religious people of His generation. The Pharisees and Scribes were upset, but Jesus answered, “It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.” We are here to treat you the way Jesus would treat you, regardless of how it makes other people feel.

As the family of God, we welcome you and will show you God’s way through Jesus Christ. Whether you are alone and sad or happy with your family, there is a place in God’s family for you. Come to Jesus and find it.
